Back in the old days playing in an all-star game after your senior season was an honor. Both the East-West game in Peoria and the Illinois/Michigan at Comisky or Great lakes classic at County Stadium were post season honors. I thought it was fun and I was committed already.

Jim, You may not be aware that the tariff for this game is $250.00.PG is great for those events that can provide needed exposure, however most of the invited guys like Ryan and Ruairi have pretty heavy commitments for the summer. We are still kicking "The National" (Top 200 or so players in 2005 class @ Tropicana Field in St. Pete) around for the same reason. Its $500.00 for that one plus air, hotel etc. These commitments and $ add up and you have to draw the line somewhere.
I totally understand. It's just a showcase. I overlooked the Perfect Game title. My bad. I wouldn't do it either.
