My son used uhit and ultimeyes for vision training. Uhit is more pitch recognition and ultimeyes an overall acuity training. I recently purchased the uhit virtual. It is pricey at 300, it come with a hand held remote and access to their pitcher database (I loved Chris Sale and I flunked a lot). I am not sure how much more of an improvement will be gained but my son enjoys it.

Taking this completely the opposite direction for just a minute (putting technology aside)...

We used to teach recognition of spin, trajectory, hand-on-side-of-ball, etc.  I was talking to my son about this just a few days ago.  The other assistant coach where he is coaching college ball is a respected old timer MLB guy.  He said something that really stuck with son.  There was a teach back in the day that was their go-to. So simple yet so accurate and effective.  "Look for something different".

The key, obviously - whether via technology or otherwise, is seeing as many good live arms as you can and making it a habit to process and evaluate what you saw shortly after your AB.  I think using the technology tools is more likely to force you to do the latter.

I totally agree with simple reads--"Look for something different."

If it's not simple, then it can cause "thinking".

"Look for something different" is instinctual.

Instinct is quicker than the mind.

My 2019 is using the GameSense app.  VERY limited sample size would say it's made some difference (based on stats and hard hit balls early in his HS season).  It's unique (I think) because is uses occlusion (cuts off pitch at various points of the pitch).  There is some science behind occlusion being a good method.  It was a cheap gamble for me to give it a try (monthly fee).  So far, I've seen enough POTENTIAL positives to keep paying.

The owner of the concept behind it (Peter Fadde) is very available via Twitter to chat about things.
