When someone describes a pitcher and says they have good "pitchability", what does that mean? And while I'm asking questions, what does it mean when they say "he has good deception" as a pitcher?

I'm always learning on the high school baseball web.... Cool

I'm just trying to learn here, as the more I read the more I realize that I don't know. Anyway...this is a quote from a report at Team One about a lefty (not mine) who throws 90...

"Looks the part and stuff says he is a guy. Plus arm with good pitchability."

If the kid is throwing 90 and they say he has good pitchability, then it must mean something different. I'm not trying to be a smart arse, I'm just trying to figure the term out.

Now the real experts can tell you what it really means. Smile

OPP...that's pretty much what I interpreted it to mean, at least in those kinds of cases. Something along the lines of command and control maybe...
