"pitchability"?

nice way of saying he has "no velocity"...

I'm just trying to learn here, as the more I read the more I realize that I don't know. Anyway...this is a quote from a report at Team One about a lefty (not mine) who throws 90...

"Looks the part and stuff says he is a guy. Plus arm with good pitchability."

If the kid is throwing 90 and they say he has good pitchability, then it must mean something different. I'm not trying to be a smart arse, I'm just trying to figure the term out.

Pitchability... he is able to put that "90" in the places that is is most effective(meaning not down the middle of the plate). Also meaning that he is able to mix that "90" with his other pitches to keep batters off stride.

Now the real experts can tell you what it really means.

OPP...that's pretty much what I interpreted it to mean, at least in those kinds of cases. Something along the lines of command and control maybe...
