My name is Anthony and I run pitching lessons out of Southern Maryland.
I was SMAC Pitcher of the Year in 2004. Same award both Daryl Thompson and Seth Overby won the 2 years before. I have had some success over the years following but due to Surgery in the spring of 2008 my dream of playing affiliated ball have diminished. I have gained velocity since the Tommy John but Scouts are hesitant to sign me so I'm stuck playing Indy ball in Texas.
As of now I am teaching younger pitchers (8-18)the things that I have experienced and the things I have learned over the years from greats Tommy John Himself, funny story about that, Johan Santana and Triple A franchise player for the Diamondbacks who was my College Pitching Coach, Tim Vallaincourt.
I am 24 years old and would like coaching to be a career, but not for a team, I want to do my own thing...
Any suggestions on places who have high demand for lessons or advertising techniques?
I have a lot to bring to the table and trust me I've been in situations on the mound some would throw up too. Just a regular guy making 100$ a week to pitch in front of thousands in a city who live and die baseball, and I step on the mound before the first pitch of the Final game of the Championship series, trust me, I could barely breathe. I pitched 7 innings and got the win.
These things should help, I would think, when selecting a Pitching Coach?
I just want to get opinions from other baseball fans and parents with children who want the best for their kids.
Thanks
