I rhink the post says short on senior talent, not no senior talent. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but in a district of all 5A teams of similar size, doesn't someone have to finish first and someone else have to finish last? Isn't the last place team always "shorter" on talent than the first?

From talking to people, I understand that Plano West only had 3 seniors who started. Although they had a young team, the biggest problem was the lack of consistency with their pitching staff. They had lost their top 3 pitchers from the year before. Arguably their top pitcher, one of the 3 seniors, did not even pitch as a junior.

Congratulations to Don English on getting the Plano West job! Coppell and West just switched jobs. Strange, but true! Happy for Don!

Saw the southpaw senior from West this summer at one of the tournaments at Craig Ranch. He arguably has lots talent. My son played with him freshman year at Jasper. He went Plano West and we went Plano Senior. They should have a good team this next year with the new coach.

Yes, the 5A team has a lot of talent - seniors to sophomores. talent lost within the terrible choices last year. glad Clark is gone!
