I agree and thanks for the updates by Bobby & Mike. I'm out of town currently and it was killing me not to be at Holman. I had better coverage of all the games than being back in Nashua. I was texting back to my wife on all the updates for the games and everyone around her couldn't believe she had all the scores on 5 out of the 8 games going on. Thanks I appreciated all of it, well done.

I am a surprising 7-1 with my bracket. I had predicted the Alvirne over South, Timberlane over Memorial and Spaulding over Trinity upsets. I like everyone else missed the Pinkerton over Goffstown BIG upset. I see North, Salem, Keene and Londonderry advancing on Saturday.

I caught the last 3 innings of North vs Central. That was an uncomfortable 3 innings to watch as a north fan. Turner did not have his best stuff (but he battled) and the defense was not at its finest as well. Had # 31 on Centrals blast been 6 feet to the right in the top of the 6th it would have been an 8-8 game...just pulled foul!! I'd assume McGowan on the hill Saturday vs Spaulding.
Assuming no major change in today's Portsmouth game tomorrow will be a hot Hollis-Brooklibe against the Portsmouth baseball factory sounds like a real good game. Disappointed I am going to miss it due to prior plans. Potential Bedford v Saint Thomas rematch with Maher on the mound could be a lot of fun to see. Saint Thomas has some big bats in that line up with Johnson and Coppinger. Looking forward to the updates.
Londonderry 13 - Alvirne 3

Mitch Brun held the Londonderry bats silent through 3 innings and all was looking up for the Alvirne Broncos. After a walk, a stolen base, and an error in the 3rd Alvirne was able to scrap across a run. It was 1-0 going into the fourth when Jake Finnegan led off the inning with a solo home run and Geoff Fisher ended the day for Brun with a 2 out RBI ground rule double to give Londonderry the 3-1 lead.

In the top of the 5th Alvirne got right on their own comeback, capped off by an RBI ground rule double by Colton Houle to tie the game at 3 a piece going into the bottom half of the inning. That's when everything went down hill for the Broncos.

With Brun out of the ball game Londonderry's bats caught fire. Hit after hit, 2 pitching changes, and a 2 run home run by C.J. Flanders put the exclamation point on the 7 run 5th inning.

Carollo settled down, striking out the side in the 6th and in the bottom half of the inning after loading the bases an error by Alvirne right fielder Brian Lessard cleared the bases and gave Londonderry the hard fought 13-3 win.

Notes: Alvirne's catcher successfully threw out all three runners who attempted a steal.
Kasey Carollo - 6IP, 10K's, 1BB, and 3ER
Mitch Brun - 3 2/3 IP, 2 K's, 3BB,and 3 ER

HB CF Justin Page robbed Portsmouth's Montville of a 2nd homer. In the 5th Montville hammered a shot to dead center. Page went to the fence, leaped and caught it for the out. Even the Portsmouth fans were cheering that ESPN type catch.

greatest high school catch i've ever seen. it happened right in front of me, arm all the way over the fence. just incredible. kudos to Justin Page, great job.
Agree with 20dad, been watching Portsmouth baseball four years and by far this was the greatest catch I have seen.

I wish he didn't make it against my kid but I had to stand and cheer and shake his hand after the game, a spectacular play - would have been #1 on ESPN highlights.

HB pitcher was excellent. and their kids played well in the field. HB battled and they gave Portsmouth the best they have seen this year. They just ran into a hot pitcher - Nate Jones his best effort of the season.

The Bedford / St. Thomas game was a battle to the very end. The St. Thomas batters showed up ready to hit and jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead after 2 fueled by homeruns off the bats of Pete Mucher and Ben Johnson. After trading 3 runs apiece in the 3rd, Bedford battled back to tie it with 4 in the 4th and 2 in the 5th. Jordan Bean hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 6th to give STA the lead. With one out in the top of the 7th, Nate Harrington was hit by a pitch and Mike Laflamme, Zach Husband and Matt Woodmansee hit consecutive singles to plate 2 and take an 11-10 lead. Joey Maher got the final 2 outs with an STA runner on second base. Other than Bean's homer in the 6th, Maher was outstanding from the 4th inning on to earn the win. The Bedford offense put up 14 hits on 4 different STA pitchers led by Mike Laflamme(3-5,2R,1RBI), Zach Husband(2-4,BB,2R,4RBI), Matt Woodmansee(3-4,2B,BB,1R,1RBI), Joey Maher(2-4,2B,BB,2RBI), Kevin White(1-3,CI,2R) and Nate Harrington(2-2,BB,HBP,2R,1RBI). Nick Gardner(4-4,2R), Ryan Coppinger(2-4,BB,3R,3RBI) and Johny Hayes(2-4,1R,2RBI) came up big for STA.
