Ron Polk, the winningest coach in the history of the SEC, has joined the University of Alabama-Birmingham staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

He joins the staff headed by Brian Shoop, who once coached with Polk at Mississippi State from 1983-1989.

It's hard to keep a good man down!
