A true amateur baseball legend has passed away. Pop Barth was the leader of one of America's greatest baseball families. He started and coached the famous Brooklawn (NJ) legion team for 58 years. In that time Brooklawn won 27 NJ State titles, and three National Championships. Pop passed away last week at the age of 92, just 6 weeks after his wife of 66 years, Helen, passed away. RIP Pop Barth
Sorry if someone has already mentioned this. Please don't turn this into another Legion vs. Travel debate. The Barth family is very involved in both. Besides, even more important than baseball, Pop was an outstanding human being!
