What are some of the better pre-district high school tournaments in the Dallas - Fort Worth - Lake Cities - Frisco areas, and who hosts them?
Sorry to talk school ball in the middle of summer ball, but time to start making plans.

Baylor Classic over in the Keller/Southlake/Grapevine area.
Thanks KD - do you know who hosts the Baylor Classic?
Don't know if there is one host, they play at Keller, Grapevine, Colleyville and possibly another school I can't remember.
1. Tournament of Champions, Rough Rider Stadium, Frisco & Centenial hs's. Frisco HS hosts. Last years teams included Allen, Newman Smith, Flower Mound, Frisco,Prestonwood Baptist, 2 Plano schools, Pearce, Southlake & Wylie. Several recruiters & area scouts at this one.
2. Trojan Classic, Kelly Field. Newman Smith HS hosts. Last years teams were Richland, Denton HS, Plano Sr., Naaman Forest, Haltom, McKinney, & Newman Smith. We have a great hospitality room!! Several recruiters.

Most of these tournaments are filled at least a year in advance. Another excellent tournament is the Art Blair classic in Duncanville -- but they need another field so they can add teams and games.
mmmmmmmm.....hospitality, I'm still full from all the cake and pie.

It was McKinney North, not McKinney. Hard to believe, but next year McKinney will have 3 high schools as Boyd H.S. joins the fold.

In the Art Blair at Duncanville, when a
team loses, it falls into the 'consolation'
bracket and no chance to reach the 'champ-
ionship game.
This is not a knock; just curious if this
is standard format.
PD mentioned that the Art Blair needed
additional venue for more teams. With
Cedar Hill's new field out by the lake
and DeSoto nearby; that sounds like a
good idea. Maybe Coach R. can get together
with the other coaches......
