The director of the South Texas Sliders confirmed via email today that the date is Aug. 16-19. Not sure when it will be posted on-line.

We will be there Sunday at the SWLL complex to play the Heat, anyone else going to be there?

After a Sat. football game im not sure how good 11 will look but he's going to give it a go.

My son's there with my husband. He's been off the past 2 weeks, so I hope there's no rust.

My husband just called and said he counted at least 15 scouts at their game this morning, which is still in progress.

Anymore updates on first day scores? #10 got called today to play with Blacksox so he will be going down tomorrow. Should be a fun weekend of baseball if the rain will hold off.

I believe the South Texas Sliders beat the Arlington A's 4-0. The Sliders played the Houston Heat last night, but I don't know the outcome. (The Sliders were supposed to have played the Bayside Yankees from New York, but reportedly, weather problems prevented them from flying in.)

My husband said they are mainly exhibition-type games, with no tournament format. He said it reminds him of Perfect Game showcases. Everyone is pretty quiet in the stands.

Identified scouts include A&M, Baylor, DBU, Texas State, A&M-Corpus Christi, Angelo State, McLennan Community College. There are also a number of pro scouts there.

The rain has held off thus far!

Had a good day in Waco yesterday and the Mustang's won so all in all it was a good trip. Was good seeing a few old friends and I was surprised to see a few new ones playing there.
