As an aside, I'll add an editorial comment about the speed at which news travels these days. The tweets that Kendall Rogers at "Perfect Game" and his contemporary at "Baseball America," Aaron Fitt, sent out occurred within an hour to an hour-and-a-half after he'd called me to tell me that he'd accepted the position...and I'd been the first one he'd called.

In our phone conversation, I'd asked him when he thought the news would become public, and his response had been "in a few days; certainly within the next week."

"Week," heck! Try the next hour!
