The kid got an email from top DIII recruiting coordinator, inviting him to come for a visit during the season to learn "what's its like to attend and play for" said school. Coach also said that he has checked up on the kid's application and wants to make sure he gets everything done on time. We're in the middle of finals today. Kid hasn't done early decision because he needs those senior grades. They will definitely be an improvement. Holiday break will be devoted to finish the Jan 1 - Jan 15 apps off.
Are we wrong to take this as a promising sign? Kid has been disappointed so many times... so he's trying to contain his enthusiasm.
Now he just has to get in....
