Let's start a "grass roots" campaign gearing emails and other mails to the IHSA and start complaining to someone that matters about what the coaches are trying to do wo the kids.

I saw kids get screwed in basketball and football.

Don't want to see it happen to baseball.

What do you think?

Let's talk about it...Ideas????

---

How about emails from everyone to the IHSA with SPECIFIC STATEMENTS OBJECTING TO WHAT IS LIKELY TO UNFOLD????

beenthere...Talk to just about every HS coach and they will tell you that summer ball is a chance to see next season's juniors and also allows next season's seniors an opportunity to get some playing time if they didn't get it in the spring. So what happens to the premiere players if the coaches want to see everyone else? They sit or see limited action. I was following around a two year Varsity starter last summer season who was playing for his HS team because coach would not let him play with travel team. He ended the summer season with 17 at bats! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The exposure this player lost was devastating!

Something has to be done and e-mailing the IHSA is a start, however, massive e-mails coming from HS players themselves might hold more weight. After all, they are suppose to protect the best interest of the student athlete.
beenthere thanks for that email to hickman.he has one coming from me.also,i am not giving you a hard time, rather i am overprotective of my ballplayers.you have provided alot of help for kids and parents that are not aware of the process.ryan is a good one that can have a bright, bright future if he continues to work hard.butting heads is lil fun from time to time but we always keep the big picture in focus.
