SU has a very strong baseball program. One of the players on the team transfered from a D-1 program and told my son that SU has a better work ethic and stronger commitment to baseball that the D-1 school.
Coach Fleetwood is tough, but fair. Their has been a rumor that he over recruits,but my son has not experienced that. He does hold a tryout in the fall, but none of the recruits or the returning player are part of that.
They hit the ball well, pitching struggled last year but the have a new pitching coach who use to play in the Majors.
Small campus, academics are good, great school atmosphere, some what hard to get into. (It's no longer the fall back school)
