I agree that Stalker has been the standard, but if they are the standard why change it to seemingly match Jugs with a higher release speed measurement?

To me it kind of sends a mixed signal.

It's my understanding that the new Stalker 2 is simply a low cost portable model to compete against the Jugs portable gun. It is geared towards parents and others who don't want to spend a thousand dollars or more on a radar gun.

I doubt that many professional clubs will be trading in there old Stalkers to get a portable one that runs off of batteries. So the standard will remain the Stalkers now used. For the time being anyway.

If the new Stalker 2 reads higher it will simply fall into the category of the Jugs portable. Higher readings than the Stalker Sport and Stalker Pro.
Now that we're on the subject of radar gun-readings, I have a question for anyone who might have an opinion:

What effect does altitude have on radar speeds?

Now, I've thought about it and originally convinced myself it should have no effect since the ball is clocked out-of-hand. But then I thought.. wouldn't altitude similarly affect arm speed?
