My son's time in the game as a player culminates this weekend in the Ivy League Championship series. There are multiple baseball highlights that we can reflect upon together one day.
One thing I'd like to say - Baseball truly paid my son back for all the time & effort he dedicated to the game. Without baseball there is no Dartmouth & no Ivy League experience. Even if he never played a single game for Dartmouth I would report that baseball returned a high yield for the time invested, because baseball was the unique qualifier in my son's entrance application (everybody has good grades there) and opened the door to his admission.
Finally, I'd like to thank and recognize the coaches who played a part in the life of my son. All of these men made positive contributions in his growth.
The coaches from the Tribe baseball team: Steve Decker, Cecil Vega, Tom Italiano, Tommy Harrison, Cliff McBryde.
High school and select team coaches: Jeff Harp, Herman Johnson, Shayne Currin, Jack Sharp, Sam Carpenter, Chuck Hazzard, Dave Rollen, Denny Dixon, Chris Edelstein, John Fuqua, Cory Thornton.
Baseball ends. Graduation is a month away. The next chapter begins. We are very excited.
