My son is a 2021 catcher and has been to a few local showcases just to get the feel of how they are run and to get a baseline of the all-important numbers, as far as exit velo, POP time, etc.

Not sure how… but we’ve been receiving the SPAM emails from various JC and NAIA programs regarding an upcoming camp or combine, and nearly everyone has a link to the programs recruiting questionnaire.

Is there any value to filling these things out now as a 2021 kid?  Besides data mining what are the questionnaires used for?  And lastly…should we proactively fill these out at the schools he’s interested in?

Honestly I don't know if coaches look at the questionnaires much,  But what can it hurt?

They're routinely used to feed the program's database of recruited players. Before a recruiter travels to an event, they'll compare names in their database with the event's roster and be on the lookout for those database players who are expected to attend.
