Keller 4 Northwest 5 in 9 innings!!!

What a game, Jordan Stafford pitched a good game Losing Pitcher was #4 did not have his name

Winning pitcher was Freddie Main, a great job done by the starting pitcher
Ben Hornsby and reliever Scotty Pacheco.

Exciting finish with Keller scoring in the top of the 9th on an throwing error by the pitcher.
Northwest up with 2 outs, one runner on and full count on Jordan Sinclair
he then hits a triple to deep center field and scores on the throw.

Most exciting game I have been to in a long time.

GO NORTHWEST

Coppell 3
Lewisville 2

de la chappell (W)

Coppell won the game in the bottom of the 7th after Matt Reynolds hit a deep center field double and Johnny Walsh hit a pinch hit triple down the right field line for game winner.

Cameron Watten started and went 6 and deserved better but Coppell left a couple guys on third with less than 2 outs.

Lewisville is a tough ball club and they will give everyone in the district a run for their money. I didn't get the starting pitcher's name but he looked good.
Thus far, we have had blessed with solid pitching, good defense and a factor that can't be overlooked is the tremendous amount of team chemistry these boys have (14 Sr's).

Of course being in our district(6-5A) we just hope this trend continues as it is only going to get harder and harder to keep those no hitters recorded and the wins on our side.

And what about PE's Emens and all the wins he is recording this year, that is OUTSTANDING and congrats...

Between Marcus, Jesuit & Plano East the rest of us don't have a chance. Wink

Not a knock against anyone but it was a team of lesser ability afterall. But a "No Hit" is a "No Hit"!! Congrats

Nolan 10 Garland Lakeview 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nolan beat Garland Lakeview 10-4 at the Grand Prairie Tournament. Mark Picca (3-1) was the winniner, 12 K's and 4 hits. Freshman Marco Hernandez got the last 2 outs.

Picca had a single and a triple, Jarrett Disinski a double and Greg Govea had 3 singles to lead Nolan's offense.
En Fuego -- thanks for updating your original post on this subject. We'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you did not mean it to minimize the Marcus achievement. Jesuitbaseball is right on target -- a no-hitter is never a simple feat, regardless of the win/loss record of the opponent.

And -- I agree that we become somewhat senstive here on occasion -- perhaps the result of the challenges of communicating in writing.

I'm going to go out in a limb and predict that the Marcus pitcher (whoever he is) surrenders at least one hit in their next game. Smile

Sorry En Fuego, I wasn't upset I just wanted to communicate what I believed PD was referring to, it was a great week for a couple of Marcus pitchers. One that has gotten a lot of attention RP and one that is getting some overdue attention JL.....In a district as stacked as ours the Marcus players don't always get their kudo's....

And I don't think anyone has welcomed you yet, I see you are new SO WELCOME..........the one piece of advice I can give about this forum is that it is much like emails, sometimes what is written is sometimes read in a different manner and tone and thus the confussion or mistakes. It is no biggie trust me I have had to explain/retrack or just plain apologize for many a posting I have made or responded to because it was read differently from what I wrote.

This is a great community and a wonderful resource, keep posting, keep reading and WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!
