I saw a clip of him, running to second (force at second) and instead of sliding in, he bowled over the shortstop.

Is there a rule now against that? How come we don't see more of it?

I did that in a men's league game. Brutal. The guy went head over heals backwards, the ball came out, and the runner was safe at first. The umpires convened, and I was not ejected.
