Hello,
I have been a lurker on this site (untill now) and have learnt a lot of valuable info in the past few months. Thanks everyone for making this forum such a tremendous source of information sharing.

I would like to get some advice on my 14 year old on his hitting. He is having difficulty in in keeping his shoulders closed while rotating his hips - making him fly open during hitting. The hips need to rotate open first keeping shoulders closed to create the torque. In his case his hips and shoulders open at the same time.

I also find it interesting when he is told to hold his swing just before contact then he has rotated his lower body while keeping his shoulders closed. Somehow this does not get translated in his full regular swing though.

Any suggestions for a drill that will help create this sequence in his muscle memory?
