Dear friends:
The Blue Jays just drafted Marcos in the AAA rule V draft. I am not sure yet if considered good or bad for him. I really don't understand how that work at this level, but at least Seems that The Blue Jays want him, and that is good. Let see what happens, in the near future.

Doc,
It looks like Marcos was selected in the Minor league phase of the Rule V draft.
That means his contract is now with the Blue Jays, but not at the Major league level.
Most likely he will be looking at an assignment in Dunedin or New Hampshire(high A/AA), depending on whether the Jays resign a couple of free agent middle infielders. Marcos' selection, for me, suggests that one of the minor league players who is a free agent may not be back and this selection filled that spot.
Thanks everybody for the goods wishes.
Marcos was put in the AAA roster, but like infielddad says, that doesn't mean Marcos will play at AAA. The level he will play next year will depends on The Blue Jays middle infield needs and more importantly on Marcos performance at spring trainning.

Doc:
I hope I can meet you in Toronto to see Marcos play.
May be by 2009, who knows.
Racab,
Congratulations. Being selected means the Jays have carefully scouted your son and found many things they like.
I think you both will find the Jays' minor league approach of providing the maximum opportunity to prove yourself a major plus. He is also going to find a lot of quality people in his teammates and coaches.
Good luck. I will be following Marcos' progress.
