This summer I am looking into getting a personal trainer for my son or something to increase is speed. I'm curious if anyone has done this, with who and what kind of results did you get.

High School Football/Baseball coach wants him to play football to help but we don't want to do that.

Thanks for your responses.

I'm not sure football would increase his speed but we used to go to Don Beebe's House of Speed. Unfortunately Don is in Illinois but he does have tapes as do others. Don always told my son to get quicker on the short distances,ie for track, to practice running the sprints. Do a 100 yard dash, take a 5 minute break in between sprints. Keep shortening the rest time in between the sprints. I'm sure you could apply this to baseball. They also have all types of equipment like the power pull, which you can see at www.houseofspeed.com. I believe the key to any of this is to keep working at it, one session or a group of sessions isn't going to help in the long term. Hope that helps! Smile
