Do (or will) scouts ever play a role in helping NCAA schools get eyes on possible recruits?  With the draft only being five rounds this year, and a very high probability that college coaches will not be able to travel this Summer... I wondered if any of the scouts might assist NCAA coaches on evaluations of players during Summer Ball or if there was some sort of regulation against this?

Second what adbono said...  Scout ball is run in many areas (under normal circumstances) and, while each team/organization is typically put together by an affiliated scout, it is primarily attended by college RC's (and parents).  The scouts will often provide roster sheets and be willing to speak on behalf of the players to the schools.  They are definitely part of the process.  How that all plays out this summer and fall is yet to be determined.

cabbage dad and adbono;

you are correct. when I created the 1st AC games 1987 in Lodi, Fresno State, San Diego Long Beach Blair Field.

Each event for 17 years provided the Pro Scouts and the College Coaches to meet and compare info. I would compare their discussions to the FBI and CIA. Always questioning.

"It was beautiful".

My personal evaluation of a player would be consistent with the best pro scouts and College Coaches. I tracked our players for the next 5 years.
