It could be a major step on the way to baseball becoming a money sport and over time creating more financial support for itself. Working with ESPN to get more games on for college in general will also help on both fronts.
I am guessing that they will put 75-100 games on from Late March after basketball to end of the season and will get good ratings. The baseball itself is very good and the fans of these schools bleed school colors. They would probably watch tiddly winks matches among them.
Who knows, it might help improve the game itself if more kids in the south that might have played football, pick up a glove and bat instead. That next Hank Aaron might actually play baseball again instead of RB or WR if he sees he can get on TV 15 times a year playing baseball at Alabama.
