This is my first reply to any of the posts that I have read. I haven't had anything to post because my son's High School season has not started, nor has he made the team. I am proud to post that my son is a player for the SEMINOLES. I can't take off work to see all games, it is an expensive endevour but it does allow him to play the game he loves with and against top level players/teams. For a midwest team to win tournaments in the offseason (Las Vegas and California) is an accomplishment worth noting. Especially, since these will be future HS players. I am annoyed that someone keeps asking which HS team they play for when no freshman player is officially on thier HS team. However, if he makes his HS team my son Brandon Duplessis (Seminole #5) will be playing for the Lockport High School Porters. Keep it positive and keep in mind it is ALL ABOUT THE KIDS! Good luck to all parents and players to a great 2006 season...high school and travel! I am not "ripping" into anyone but just asking CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG.
This topic is close to running it's course.
CoachB25,
I agree but I would still like to know how the name came about. You ask a simple question, you get ignored! I guess some things we'll never know.

Lockport #5, your son's very fortunate to play for two very good baseball programs. The Seminoles and Lockport H.S. I wish Brandon good luck in the future playing for Lockport and the Seminoles.
Hey Grandslam1,
I was at Disney with the Roadrunners and just to clarify, the Roadrunners only added 3 players for Disney. We had 16 kids on the roster... so 3 is certainly not 50% of our team. Please get your facts strait if you want to be taken seriously.

If I knew, I'd tell you. However, I'm just a hick from the sticks and all I know about Seminoles is that they were a proud tribe that lived in the Florida area and eventually migrated into the Florida Everglades to avoid the U.S. Army. Guess that doesn't answer the question.
