Is it one week after the state championships?
It's not posted on the Joe Cannon calendar. I'm just concerned about possible conflicts as last year it conflicted with senior week/beach week. Not even sure who comprises the teams....all I know is that Baltimore County players are in it. Is it Balto. Co. vs. AA Co?

Is this open for all of Maryland to tryout or just those counties?
I don't think that there are tryouts....I think that it is an all-star game for seniors who get asked to play.
I could be thinking of a different game.Last year there were tryouts at Thomas Stone high school for this game.

You're thinking of the Brooks Robinson All-Star Game at Camden Yard. Players tryout per each region on 5/21, then on 5/28 there are two games at TSHS (The MSABC Classic). From these games/tryouts, Team Maryland (Srs and Jrs) and the Brooks Robinson All-Star team (Srs only) are selected.
This other All-Star game, I believe is something new.

Dave Folz who does such a wonderful job with the MVAL websites, is organizing a tournament for all of the MVAL All Stars coming up at the end of May. It should make for some exciting baseball. Details are on the link:

There are several Sr All Star games around the great state of MD in 2006 (in addition to the 2006 MSABC Regional tryouts and MSABC Classic for the HS So, Jr's & Sr).
1. Baltimore County vs Ann Arundel County Sr All Stars on June 3 at Joe Cannon Stadium in Harmans, MD. This has been going on for several years!
2. Two All-Star Sr HS games involving four MD counties (Allegany, Washington, Frederick & Carroll County) on May 30 at Hagerstown Muni at 5:00 and 7:45 pm (for big (4A-3A) HS and small (1A-2A) HS). 2006 is the inaugural year.
3. Montgomery County Sr All Stars at Walt Whitman HS after Memorial Day. This has been going on since late 80's.
4. MSABC Regionals May 20/21 at four locations (North, South, East & West) around the State.
Selections from the schools Head Coach. Obtain and complete form to register.
5. MSABC Classic on May 28 at T Stone HS in Waldorf. DH at 10:00 am and at 2:00 pm (as selected by the top twenty MSABC regional HS players.
"The MSABC Classic is used to select two teams that play in the BROOKS ROBINSON ALL-STAR GAME sponsored by the GEIER FINANCIAL GROUP held
at CAMDEN YARDS ON June 25 after the ORIOLES-NATIONALS GAME. 30 SENIORS WILL BE SELECTED TO PLAY IN THAT GAME.
The MDABC Classic also selects TEAM MARYLAND
for the SUNBELT CLASSIC in NORMAN, OK June 19-24.
6. 16th Annual 2006 Bear Classic HS Showcase for Our National Pastime - Aug 25-27 at
Univ of Maryland. Rising HS underclassman are invited. Selections observed from talent at MDABC Regionals and MDABC Classic (and HS and summer league games). email for form.
