I looked it up on the site and all it did was confuse me. What is separation and why is it used? Is it a delay in your swing or just how the body sequences on a swing?

Separation is a stretch between the rear hip turning/moving forward as the hands move rearward.
So, yes, it is sequencing....
The hips lead the hands.....But, it's done by sequencing, not by unloading the rear hip first....

Separation is merely the sequence of the hips rotation 1st and not together with the hands.
