I know September 1st is the first day they can email or send letters to incoming juniors. Is it better for a letter or an email? Or does it really matter.

Does it look like a letter or email Christmas card from your Congressman/Senator?...or does it look like a communication from a friend?
Is it long and 'sale-sy?' Or is it personal, specific and sincere?
Thats pretty much how you tell. Method of transmittal doesn't say a whole lot...usually.

You are right, because some like to email, some like to write letters.
Most important is that if you are sent information, fill it out and return it, enclose your schedule if asked, and most of all understand that if the coach is interested you will be able to distinguish the difference.
