Should player send thank you email to coach after college prospect camp?

Just finished 1st college prospect camp for my 2017 kid... it is a good idea to send a thank you email to the coach? We personally thanked multiple coaches on both days of the event because we were incredibly impressed with the way the camp was run... but wondering if the player should email on his own to say thank you? Thoughts?

I would keep it short and sweet. Say thanks, you had fun, learned a lot and look forward to next camp. I wouldn't say much more than that.
