So what's the real story?

I have heard from a couple of parents that the travel team trip had little or nothing to do with his departure. Early exits from the spring and summer tournaments and a large dose of parent discontent is what I am being told.

It seemed rather ironic, considering a comment that was made on another thread a while back about Catholic schools firing their coaches.

I made a comment regarding cCatholic Schools not firing their coaches unless they don't win. Carmel hasn't exactly done well in the playoffs the last few years.

I also have heard that several younger players left the school/team perhaps because they were unhappy with the direction of the program.

I thought they were in the super sectional a year or so ago against pr and lost in extra inning while missing there best player due to some community service hours or something he had to take care of.

Carmel was in the super sectional in 2008 and the summer finals 2009. His release was not over wins, losses or early exits in the playoffs (this is not pro ball).
