I was there the last time the Stones played Soldier Field. Got to take my dad to his first Stones concert. A great day. I also picked up a piece of memorabilia that combines my two favorite things: the stones and baseball.

Anybody attend the Pink Floyd concert at Soldier field way back when ? I was there but dont quite remember a whole lot .

That picture reminds me of a couple of shows I watched on PBS about the history and arcitecture in Chicago. One, they rode in a boat up and down the Chicago River and the other I think they traced the shoreline of Lake Michigan.
Would anyone happen to have a copy of these shows they'd like to share?

You can kinda' see the reflection of some old buildings on the surface of the river...you hafta' squint some.
And, of course, most of the early shoreline tracing was done by immigrants who had just recently arrived.

Gotwood, Hate to burst your bubble but the photo of the kids paddling is on Crystal Lake at the Cardboard Cup Regatta. The reflections that you can make out are some of the sailboats and trees. Where did you find that photo? Thanks
