I posted in Sheps thread about Short to it Long through it the quote, "Be careful" in a response from floridafan. We've pmed each other and I just want to clarify.
I don't care who's theories we discuss here. Post about the guy who's name show us as ***** or Mankin or Peavey or Epstein or Englishbey or... The list could go on and on. Say you want to discuss Teacherman's second engine theory. Go ahead and do so. However, what has transpired on other sites is that these discussions have turned into anything from name calling to character assassinations. I hope that if you have any point, argument etc. that you can make your point without the need for attacking some other theory. Can you discuss it? Sure. Do I have my preference? You bet! That is why I hope I didn't stiffle discussion when I posted for everyone to be careful. This is not a place for me to preach what I believe. It is a place for us to all learn. I think the world of Bluedog. He comes under attack so often. However, he is also asking us to think. Do we believe what we say we believe? There is a place for that. Shep is doing a fantastic job with his posts. Do I agree with all of it? Well no. However, the presentation is outstanding and he is providing a great service. That is what this site is supposed to be about besides helping the parents get their kids into college and/or enjoying the hs experience while also helping the players talk baseball.
