Yale sophomore Trygg Larsson-Danforth started the season on the donut going 0 - 8. He was waving a magic wand against the Gamecocks in the two game series. He went 7 - 9 in the two games along with 3 RBI, a walk and run scored. If he continues on this tear, he will catch some eyes.

People have been looking at junior Ryan Lavarnway. He is assaulting the Yale and Ivy League hitting records. After nine games, he is batting .424 with 6 home runs.

It looked to me that the game turned on a weak pitching choice in the fifth.

With two leftys leading off, a righty was chosen to come in instead of the lefty. After the two leftys homered and singled, momentum was with the 'Cocks.

I thought sure that the Gamecocks would give Yale some schooling on both nights.

Looked like all the Yalies got into the game before the night was out.
