Qualifiers happen during the regular season.

Should be a good one. Interesting that Oklahoma has a team in it this year. I don't remember them in it last year.

I know who I am pulling for. But ultimately, just want a Texas team to get to Farmington!

I'd like to see the DPats, DBatSAM, and ABA play well since I know some of those boys!

Actually, I'm rooting for anyone playing against Naataanii, as they used several illegal aged pitchers at a New Mexico tourney earlier in July. Cost them a pool play game against GUN and then we smoked them in bracket play. Send 'em home early boys!

Patriots beat ABA this morning 4-2.

Umpire reverses an out call at the plate in that game to get the Patriots on the board?????????????????????????

I was sitting right above home plate in the 2nd deck at TCU and had a good vantage point. I don't think the catcher tagged the runner, but the home plate umpire did call him out...I think because he may have felt that the runner went out of the base path. The umpires conferenced for awhile before reversing the call. My thought was that they agreed the runner had no choice as the catcher was directly in the base path fielding the throw from the right fielder that went up the 3rd base line slightly...just my opinion of course. It was a tough call and could have gone either way. It was a highly competitive game, and luckily the game was decided by 2 runs and not just 1. Good luck to ABA the rest of the way.

You got your wish Gun...they went 0-2 scoring only 1 run in their short two game stay in the Metroplex.

SWEET!!! I never understood grown-up coaches of young men with poor character! Of course, I always cringe when I read multiple pages of coaches and teams banned from SuperSeries and USSSA tournament play for cheating, when our boys were 10-12 years old.

BTW-one of Cherry Creek's stud players underwent an emergency appendectomy while his teammates boarded a plane for the metroplex. Makes you realize just how fortunate you (rhetorical) are!

We're down to the final 6 teams and 4 Texas (Metroplex) teams remain in the hunt for a ticket to Farmington. The only team from the area that got bounced early was the Yankees.

Patriots down DBAT Carpenter 5-2 this afternoon. ABA eliminated DBAT Rose/Blair, Oklahoma eliminated D'Backs Beck.

4 teams remain with the Patriots being the only undefeated team. Tonights games at TCU are:

5:00PM - DBAT Carpenter vs ABA
7:30PM - Patriots vs. OKC

Who's Sam got left in his bullpen?
And, if anyone other than the Patriots lose, they are eliminated? Is that right?

Looks like the 5 year DBAT run is over. And the Pats will get their first ever visit to Farmington.

DBAT Carpenter eliminated ABA 2-0 and in the night cap the Patriots beat Oklahoma 7-0.

Patriots vs DBAT Carpenter in the finals Saturday morning at 10:00 at TCU. The Patriots are undefeated and DBAT has 1 loss. The Patriots need 1 and DBAT needs 2 tomorrow to earn a trip to Farmington. One thing is for sure, Texas will be represented at the Connie Mack World Series.

I played for him, I coached with him, and I work with him...Never, ever, count out the ol' left hander...congrats to Sam, his coaching staff, and his DBAT Mustangs on their victory today at TCU.

Also don't forget DBAT Mustangs Perry. I went to watch them today and Jim won the AABC Regional to go to the MMWS. Jim is a great guy and it was awesome to see him with that huge smile on his face.

I have been known to be wrong before. But if I was a betting man I would take that bet every time. Its hard to beat anyone twice at that level.

Wonder Boy its close might be 8 out of the last 7 years or 7 out of the last 8 years what ever it is I thought the long run was over. Like I said I was wrong.

Go put an eye patch over one eye and tell me how many scouts where there. Also you are picking on one year maybe how many years have FR been? Throw more weighted balls and you might be able get out of state.
