Triantos is one of five players who are leaving St. John’s, which has annually fielded one of the top teams in the metro area and Mid-Atlantic Region. The players departing also include four juniors: Jack O’Connor, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound right-hander and first baseman committed to Virginia; James Wood, a 6-foot-6, 210-pound outfielder and left-hander committed to Mississippi State; and left-hander and outfielder Jake Feffer and utility man Nick Frazier, who are also considered potential Division I recruits.
Triantos was at IMG briefly. That's a lot of moving around for a high schooler.
I hope everything works out for the young man.
Is he an only child? Looks like the family will be looking for a house in the new school district. I of course do not know their finances, however this seems extreme.
It does look like SJC is a private Catholic school. So it might not be so different than moving neighborhoods to get into a better public school system.
So, unless a kid agrees to pad and supplement his HS coach's pocketbook, he can't play HS ball? What if coach's summer side gig is outrageously priced? (If fact, the coach imposed requirements line up exactly in that direction: pay me whatever I demand or don't play.)
The kid is at his third high school. I wonder if UNC is seeing red flags.
