DBAT 18 is 2-0 in the Lone Star state tournament at Flower Mound with wins over a Frozen Ropes team on Wednesday and the Monarchs yesterday. A match up with the Dallas Tigers occurs today at 3 in the finals of the winner's bracket. It should be a good one.

The Monarchs have a very solid team and the game went the distance with the good guys winning on a bot-7 rbi single by Justin Snider. Matt Lackie got the victory in relief. Ryan Behmanesh did a nice job for the Monarchs -- leaving after 6 with a one-run lead.
At the risk of angering the DBAT haters:

DBAT 17U is 2-0 in the BBI Dallas state tournament at Dallas Jesuit Prep School with wins over the Mesquite Longhorns Wednesday and Dallas Jays yesterday.

The DBAT 17U hit 6 bombs yesterday, including 2 by Max Muncy (one of which was a salami).

A match up today against the Dallas Baracudas in the winner's bracket at 12:30 at Jesuit.
I am one that will stand up in the face of TYRANNY and say "DOWN WITH DBAT" and their communist lies and propaganda... Mad

I was at their games at the softball complex yesterday and none of this stuff happened...They all sit in a room and dream this stuff up in their evil lair in Addison... Mad

Lets all band together and be the "Marshalstigersmustangsppatriotsdiamondjaxxmonarchscatsblackhawkstitans"...We can do this. Meet me at the Applebees tonight at 10pm and lets get this going... Mad

Who is with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has Muncy signed yet? Kid is a Stud.
A very good Dallas Tigers team defeated a very good DBAT 18 team at the Lone Star state tourney in Flower Mound to advance to the CM regional.

DBAT ended a great run that includes a 2006 MMWS championship and a multitude of fond memories. This team sends all 16 players to great college baseball programs, including 6 to Big 12 schools (Texas, Nebraska, Missouri, OU), 2 to the SEC (Arkansas), 4 to great D1 schools (Wofford, LA Lafayette, Northwestern, South Dakota State), 3 to top D1 JUCO (Navarro, Grayson, NCTC), and 1 to a great NAIA school (Northwoods). In addition, watch for Matt Thompson's near-term debut in pro baseball. This team won 150+ games over the past 4 years.

Special thanks from DBAT parents to Kirk, Curt, Ted, Darren, Cade, and Kyle. It's been fun! Cool

Good luck to the local teams as they mix it up in Fort Worth next week. Go DBAT!

That 18U DBat team was a great group.

Our 18U Braves have been together for 3 years and are currently 87-10 in that span. In 2006 we went 20-2 and our only 2 losses were at the Mickey Mantle World Series to those guys (1 in pool play, 1 in the championship game). They beat us in the Championship Game of the Mickey Mantle World Series on a Walk-Off Grand Slam!

Congratulations to all of these guys for all of their accomplishments and good luck in college.

Me..... a shot......you gotta have skins on the wall for that type of rhetoric.

I just finished a 14-8-1 season. I have no room for shots. Just making an observation. If I remember correctly this happened once before. 17's move on and 18's don't.

But for the record.......I am surprised, no wait dumbfounded. How did the Tigers beat you?<-----Now that was a shot!
Tychco.

Tychco Jr. and Maximo M ARE SO LUCKYYYY that they have not had to face the Mustangs-Randle 17U and that big ole 6'3"+ Beast throwing at them this summer. He wouldn't show mercy on his friends. LOL.

FYI, He pitched in Joplin this am, had a no-hitter going until the 5th. Mustangs over Austin Slam 10-1.

Good luck this week, I will try to come watch you guys since better half is in Joplin.

Not trying to stir the pot or anything, but SmartSon's Texas Blackhawks team played both the DBAT 18 and the Tigers 17 (with at least one 18 joining them) and the Tigers were definately the better team...at least on this weekend.

Not trying to smart here either but the Blackhawks never move on. I believe DBAT 17 played both Blackhawks teams and it was not close, well at least on those weekends.

I like the team my son played with for several years. I like their achievements. I like the parents and the coaches. I didn't expect them to go undefeated this summer. This group has had success against the other organizations over the years. They have a pretty good track record against JAFO's group, right buddy? This year, they lost 2 games to a good team during their final weekend....and yes, there were other good teams there too. Five of the DBAT players were good enough to be invited to play this week, as guests.

My dog ain't better than anyone else's dog.....but it has been excellent for me.
