Stepping back into baseball - Schedules please

Bump - some one else must have an idea if they are playing in any of these tournaments.

Please let's talk about some HS baseball.

Northwest HS is playing in the Tyde Classic, the Baylor Medical Tournament and the Richardson tournament.

Grapevine's Chris Gavora died during the Baylor tournament last year. Keep his family in your prayers as I am sure they will have a tough time as the anniversary date draws near.

Arlington Martin is also playing in the Tyde Classic. PD will also be there and he's buying warrior dogs for everyone.

Martin will also play in the Lewisville and Lubbock tournaments as always.

Colleyville Heritage HS is playing in the Baylor Medical Tournament, FW Southwest Classic, and Lubbock Tournament.

Poteet is playing in the Woodlands tournament, Duncanville tournament and the Mesquite tournament. We also play Arlington Martin.

Mansfield Summit is playing in the DeSoto tournament, South Grand Prairie Tournament, and Lubbock Tournament.

East will be in Lewisville, Arlington, and Duncanville. We had the honor of playing Martin twice last year -- once in tornado-like conditions in Lewisville.

The Rock is heading east in Week 1 for the Tyler tournament. And staying local the other 2 with the Mesquite and Richardson tourneys. Quality scrimmages vs. Plano, Heath, East, Allen, and Forney will let us see alot about what we have.

That was one wild night for baseball. That night at our home field we had a temp. backstop (the type you roll around) blow across our practice field and get blown over a 6' fence and land on a truck. The truck wasn't hurt real bad but the backstop went over the fence and never touched it.

At Hebron (we have a baseball team, too. . .), some interesting scrimmage games that will give youngest Hawk son a chance to take the field against some of his current and past summer teammates including Max Muncy at Keller and Aaron Gilbreath (aka "Goldberg") at Colleyville Heritage. The Hawks also have scrimmages against Southlake Carroll and Wichita Falls Rider.

In the regular season, we'll see Tyler Collins and Northwest at Rangers Ballpark. Hebron makes its first appearance in the McKinney Tournament March 6-8, and the schedule looks tough: Games against McKinney, Jesuit and Rockwall Heath.

The Hawks travel to Houston for the Clear Creek Tournament Feb. 28-March 1.

Oh yeah, we also play Coppell twice this season. But Meatsdad already said those were losses, so I didn't put them at the top. Loses for whom, MD??

You know that all bets are off in District play. It is entirely possible that Coppell goes 0-14 in District. My prior statements were just in fun and a little hopeful wishing. Coppell will be fortunate just to get to .500 this year.

If you go 0-14, I will mow my front yard. . .in a Speedo. I'm afraid only the Lovely and Sainted Mrs. Hawk wants any part of that frightening scenario.

Yeah, no kidding OP! Matt would literally be unhittable at 7:30 at TCA.

I heard they're bringing in temporary lighting for some reason! I don't understand why when we could just play at 4:00 or move the game to North.

The TCA boosters will arrange their cars to use headlights. They're THAT powerful (the boosters, not the headlights)! Maybe it's a 7:30am game.
