I agree that Fenway is an expert on HA recruiting. He has helped countless people here with advice and knowledge, including me.

I don't agree a new forum is needed, but only because I don't use the forum software that way, and I suspect may are the same.  I don't even look at the main forum block.  I look at the Topics sidebar on the right

This is the same way I navigate.  I check out the topic sidebar for recent post and use the search function for specific topics I may be thinking about.

I agree. And while I see various people with expertise in specific areas, one of the things I valued most as my son was searching for a school was being able to post and get a bunch of different feedback. People rarely agreed and I can't say I ever did 100% of what any one person recommended, but I learned a lot about how to think about what we were doing from the various posters.

I guess to summarize. I don't want one expert, I want a variety of opinions so I can choose my own way forward. JMO

Good idea, Good Knight, and lots of good follow-up points.  I agree, particularly, with the thought that the categories just don't seem to be used here very often due to site design.  I think most just read the "topics" on the right.  Also, as great as Fenway is with HA questions (as are others with their particular strengths), he and they may not be amicable to  being called "the expert".

Fortunately, a poster will often get steered to the best person(s) for a given topic if that person doesn't respond initially.

My set up is I have all posts on the right of the screen. I never view by forum.

I use the forums because if you click on the right it only takes you to the last post and then you have to backtrack.  I get frustrated because it seems a lot of people don't backtrack and asks questions that have already been asked or answer questions in duplicate or don't even read the original OP.  This is how threads get taken over and off base.  I will look at the forums in the morning and then check updates on the right side but go back to the forum before clicking.  But I don't see the need for a new forum.

There is a better way...

https://community.hsbaseballweb.com/topics

This link takes you to all the active topics sorted by last response, and gives you the option to go straight to the last post you have read instead of starting at the beginning or the end.

You do have to scroll down to the end of the "Featured topics" which always show up on top.

And you can always get back to this page from another HSBBWeb page by using the menu bar: Forums / All Topics.
