hokie,
I believe you can only have five choices when doing a poll. I personally would have put the Valley league in place of Florida.

That said, I think depends on what one is looking for in a summer league. IMO I think the Alaska League is better because of the OVERALL number of quality players. Not to say the other leagues don't have quality players because of course they obviously do. IMO I don't think AK is scouted as heavily as other leagues.

IMO the Cape is currently ranked as the best because of the history, number of quality players and scouts in attendance. Not to say that things can't change as some of the other leagues are definitely up and coming, if not already there.

Good points about what you want out of a league made by Frank. Year after year you see more league talent parity. With more talent in other leagues you force scouts out of the New England area. I firmly believe the reason the Cape had maintained it's tight hold over summer baseball is because of the scouts "if you want to be scouted, you come to us" mentality. As soon as some national talent started playing in other leagues, the scouts have started taking road trips in order to keep on top of the talent pool. It will take a little time, but the mistiuqe of the Cape will balance as the other leagues get better.

From the players standpoint. If I'm going to spend my summer playing ball, I would want to maximize my effort by getting as many opportunities as possible. At this time the 70 game Northwoods schedule does that.
