Son is a Senior OF this year at a D2 school. He started at a D1 and transferred after his Soph year.
What Summer leagues, if any, allow players whose eligibility has expired?
He played Summer Wood Bat(Prospect & Great Lakes)last 3 Summers and did pretty well.
Because of lost hours in the transfer, and because his new school requires 132 hours to graduate, he will need to go an extra semester next Fall.
He would like to play again next Summer, and it's probably unlikely that he gets drafted.
Another poster mentioned the NY State league, which is a feeder for Independent League teams.
Realistically, he's not likely to pursue a career as a pro player, but just wants to play in a good, competitive league.
Since he will still be on scholarship for that extra semester, it must be an amateur league.
Any other options out there?
