As a person who follows TCU from my home in the Marcy projects (Marcy yall what) i must say that lately they have been getting killed by the draft and transfers. They lost one of the their best players in Shelby Ford to Oklahoma State..... Also they had Lance Broadway, Craig Italiano, Paul Kelly, Chase Phillips, and a player from a JUCO in Arizona that was going to transfer was taken in the second round. Can the bad luck be explained.......

I keeps it veal

Many college coaches sign player that they know they dont have a chance at signing. When Matlock moved over to TCU Kelly and Italiano both signed with TCU with the coaches knowing they would go high in the draft. But just signing big prospect kids like that will help the program even if they dont get them. They can show a good list to potential players. And you never know, sometimes once in a blue moon one of those high round kids will not go pro. So why not take a shot.
DP2005...there is also a downside to oversigning top prospects...many times a player on the borderline will not commit because there are too many players at a position...especially pitchers. Also, it may help the program look better, but not necessarily their reputation if they over sign. Schloss is a very reputable coach as are his asst's...believe me, they will protect their signings by over-signing behind the draftable players.

PantherDad...IMO...yes...by the way the AD has the hammer to OK or not.

Ashy Larry knows what hes talking about. I think TCU will be good again with all the young talent they have especcially having two players that were freshman all-americans. The one player that will have to step and be a leader is Matt McQuirk from Arlington Heights that boy can play. But Jim Schlosanagle runs a good program.

Lucky number 7 ya'll
