I appreciate the feedback. The videos and feedback are from last year's winter camp. Since then I have joined Team MaxBat and re-structured everything from last year and taken it a new direction. The gentleman you received the email from is now officially listed on Holy Cross College's website as one of their baseball personnel. Our goal is to offer high end events at top notch locations, but at affordable pricing.
I agree with everything you said, especially about grammar, and will use it to improve our product. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you may have.

Email invite has some grammar issues which always raises a red flag for me.

My son has attended the events ran by this company. He has also attended events ran by other so called big name companys. The comparison is not even close. If you have a problem with the invitations grammer maybe you need to enroll your son in an english camp. This is baseball not school. If you knew the history of the game it was not based on who could write the best. Think about it.

I was looking at that camp too. Go to their website and check out the videos of the players and then look to see how they "project" some of them. Eh....not so sure.

The videos and analysis were done by a coach who is in the College baseball Hall of Fame. What is your background? Look at the ages of the kids being evaluated. "It is better to be thought of as a fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt" Abe Lincoln

2013 Dad I have to agree. Not sure that Baseballmom6 needs to be quite so rude and condescending. It seems like the previous posts were intended to help but not judge. Even though grammer may not be part of baseball, to receive a letter that is grammatically incorrect from a large company does reflect on that company and places a little doubt in the validity. It does seem though thatTeam Max has identified this and is making the needed corrections. I applaud them for that.
Baseballmom I appreciate the passionate responses, but I ask that you please don't criticize. I am glad for sites like this because it gives me unbiased opinions and will help us make necessary changes. We will be adopting a new system to convey our player critiques, as talent projections and current talent levels can differ greatly (and I believe is the point of contention, not the evaluations themselves). Coach Bowyer is a tremendous asset to our company, and I would never question his judgement.
Please keep offering critiques and asking questions, but lets keep it all friendly!

My unbiased take on this is that baseballmom is sticking up for her husband Pat (recruiter at Holy Cross) and since Pat and Scott are uncle and nephew, this post is all about business. Anyone that starts a recruiting letter to me with "hey bud" and claims to know how good I play but doesn't know my name makes me wonder. It gets better...You see, since Pat is recruiting for Holy Cross and Scott is running the showcases at Team Max that Pat is recruting at, it makes sense that Pat would recommend my "Bud" to attend. This is a little fishy. Sorry not to be friendly but don't insult us.

Sqaure...(and that's the way I spell it)

I do not normally respond to an old thread .... But in this case I think some updated color would be helpful. First, It's been my general experience that all coaches who do it for a living lack in communication skills and logistics as compared to those of us who have a full time day job. This is just what it is.

This organization can supply plenty of references and phone contacts if you want to verify any issues you may or may not have. I would suggest before you signup with any organization to check references directly and not through a website that can be completely unchecked.

Honestly, we joined. Turned out to be better than fine. Good game play, engaged coaches, good connections, solid winter camp. However, if your interested ask for phone references. If you have issues with them then call them.
