Does anyone have advice for a guy trying to listen to his kid pitching on the internet. The feed keeps stalling (rebuffering)and there are constant gaps in the broadcast.
I have a pretty decent computer and high speed cable. Any helpful tips?

spizz - more often than not, the problem is on their end and is due to an underperforming or malfunctioning server. Based on the fact you have a high speed cable modem, I doubt you are having the problem. Every once in a while you may have some background programs that may need to be closed and are tying up your CPU. Thus, if you have not already done it, try restarting your computer (from the start menu, select shut down, select restart) and then re-attempt to get on the site that is serving the game. You might also try to power up and down your modem.

You may also find a telphone number associated with the serving site and you may be able to call them and let them know of the problem. Perhaps they can reboot or shut some other programs down that will yield higher performance. Hope that helps Smile

One common problem is running "live stats" or "box scores". Both will automatically update every few minutes and if you are trying to run either of those while listening to the audio feed it trends to tie up the CPU as CD says and will rebuffer.

I'm using Comcast.

Thanks all for the tech (and virtual beverage) support. CD just may be right about the problems being on the other end. Not much I can do except let them know about it.
BTW Spizzle did get a W last night, but his Pop lost some hair.
As difficult as it may be sometimes to listen, when we have encountered the problem (e.g., Alaska league games), we have often gone to the opposing team's website and tried listening through their service. This can be a daunting task at time, especially if the other team's announcers need lessons in good sportsmanship etc. When our son was in the Midwest League in '05, his team did not have a game day audio and it was torture but we managed to get through it.

Good luck. Being the mom of a pitcher, I can emphasize with you 100% !!
I have had this problem with teamline for college and summer league.
One time my son was in witha guy on 3rd and 1st with 1 out and the announcer said he would be right back. That was 2 hours later.
I talked to TL and they said they were having problems and would fix it. That was 3 weeks ago. You can hardly hear the home games so I bought a logiteck booster that amps it up about 10 times. I still have to crank it up to max and the problem is you get back ground static.
Some games are good sound but one their booth was hit by lightening and they were down for over a week.
I actually like listening to the opponents feed and often do it.
I downloaded firefox ith java and use it for broadcasts while I use explorer to go on thye internet.
