@Consultant your point is very well taken. No matter your thoughts on it and how it was handled, COVID changed recruiting, training, playing options, etc. I know for my son’s recruiting class (2021), what players did during the shutdown significantly separated players from each other. Some guys came out the shutdown exactly the way they went in…and others came out bigger, faster, stronger. It has forced some players to end their careers earlier than they expected but I suspect that even in those hard stories there are some blessings in disguise. With all the ugliness, we got the unexpected blessing of all three of our kids (two in college and one in boarding HS) home for several months—the most we had them all together since the girls went to college and probably the most we will ever have them together again.
