Temple Program???

These guys are not dead.  They are still working.  Perhaps harder than they ever have in their life.  Which includes going to camps.

RJM - pretty sure I heard that every current player has committed to stay this year.  0 transfers.   Pretty cool if you ask me.

Word around the water cooler is that Wheeler is beating the bushes right now. 

Don't be surprised to hear if this thing gets turned around.  We've seen it the last 2 years with Towson & Cal.

Hey the Coach still gets paid to work the camp so its a revenue stream as well for these young guys.

Reports stating that the Peterson twins are headed to NC State via Kendall Rogers twitter feed.

Both are pitchers and possible draft picks.

Pretty big blow for Temple.

Over 100 currently affected athletes and former athletes attended the most recent university board meeting. The board refused to acknowledge them and give a representive the floor.

The crew team and crew alumni are fighting hard to raise money and recognition. I don't know what the baseball team is doing. Crew has an issue worse than baseball. While baseball has two fields miles from the campus, crew doesn't have a boathouse. They operate out of a tent.

I know that someone decided a petition to save Temple Baseball was in order.  I signed it...

Wheeler wasn't happy with NC State.  NC State says they spoke with a Temple assistant....and say they "tried to call Wheeler 5 times".   Really??? That's BS.  The guy is busy trying to save a program and you don't have the decency to make a real effort to get ahold of him before stealing his players????   NC State...remember....karma is a *****

Players are obviously looking into options and coaches are going to try and add a kid to the program.  

As for the temple coaches they probably committed to the camps months in advance, and the coaches will end up at another college if the worst case scenario happens and the program doesn't survive.  So it'll help them to build the relationships for the next school they are at.  

It's not a good situation for anybody and I think everyone in the program should prepare for the worst but hope for the best...not many people now a days willing to go down with the ship.
