Most HS teams got maybe 1-2 games done last spring.  Now it looks like the 2021 season will also get compressed and have the number of games reduced, even if COVID is a distant memory by spring.

With 2 weekend events left in our summer plans, we've gotten 19 games in, so our guys are hitting their strides after the lamentable spring cancellations.  With D1 schools prohibited from scouting over this summer, we can hope that the NCAA will allow recruiting activities to resume come Sept. 1.

If you're pining for baseball, and not someone who's done travel/exposure ball so far, now's the time to find yourself a team.  And with football being put off until February, even those who have avoided fall play in the past to focus on football can get on a diamond consistently this fall.

The early commitment trend has been stopped in its tracks by the NCAA's summer restrictions.  I expect recruiting to get hot and heavy fast some Sept. 1.  Anyone who's been sitting on the sidelines, now's the time to get moving, before everything passes you by.
