attended the 1st PG nationals in 2001 in Tropicana Field, about 170 players, maybe about 15 (1st round picks attended)
about 170 college coaches and MLB scouts were there.

BJ Upton almost killed a few spectators with throws in the stands.

Only problem, the Devils Rays shut off the lights in the middle of the game at 8pm and tossed everyone out.

Very funny incident where an agent tried to recuit the Scott Kasmir family and talk on his cell phone with another client at the same time.
Son attended in 2002. It is a great event. You will have to talk to PG about how many will attend. Well run (of course). Just follow the links on the site as to who was there. You will find many top ranked prospects.

most of the pitchers were upper 80's alot in the 90's,

a few low 80's

remember one player stealing bases standing up at will, think he ran about a 6.3 60 YD.

a number of players hitting balls in BP in the 2nd level of the stadium.

Only knock, Tropicana Field ceiling is sorta gray, made it tough to pick up pop ups. And a few parents (300 lbs +) could not fit into their seats behind home plate. I guess they super sized the fries way too many times laugh
