If you would like to read some thoughts on recruiting, click on The wacky world of recruiting. It is an article by John Mark Hancock of Tri Cities Sports.

It mainly follows the recent events of Bruce Pearl at Tennessee, but I see where it would apply to many intercollegiate atheletes and their parents.

Thoughts?

SmileThots..........excellent Article

My impression is that Baseball(although we have zillions of "travel" teams at ALL ages) does NOT suffer with Millions of Dollars infused into the system by Shoe Manufacturers. The High End Basketball Camps between the competing Shoe People add to the chances of "wacky" money being thrown around. Hence, the AAU Coaches have "underwritten" some of these young men for many years of there playing life already. I saw a piece on Fox where this is being driven into 6-7th grade now in Urban areas.....where the Coach, all equipment, uni's, shoes(obviously shoes),etc. is being paid for completely by Shoe Manufacturers.
Contrast that with the T-Shirts I have seen, UT Baseball- I play for Books!!
