I just signed up for Hulu Plus to watch TV and movies on my computer. I found a series of baseball interviews with Ed Randall. The first one I watched was with Micky Mantle, maybe in the mid 90's.
In this interview, he declared that there were too many baseball teams.
I have long thought all pro sports have too many teams for the talent pool. Teams are 30-40 games under .500, the Pirates haven't had a winning season in 20 years.
Now, as a parent of a couple of baseball players, I guess I wish there were even more teams! But it makes for a good discussion.
