biggerpapi,

Yes, that was definitely my reaction!!!

I am ALWAYS at my computer, 7 days per week, except of course for this ONE DAY when the forums went down. I'm on vacation watching Spring Training, if that's any excuse!

Anyway, thank you all for the many reports of the trouble. I submitted an trouble ticket as soon as we got back to our condo, and obviously things are back up and running now. (They said it was a server error. Will Woody have a pic for that?)

Care to share the restaurant ideas? Pre-planning for July already ....

This should be right up your alley...

I also highly recommend Doc Ford's. Everything there is awesome!

Shawn (SMAN14),

Yes, we stayed on Ft. Myers Beach and made it to 5 Twins games in Ft. Myers. Beautiful sunshine for most of the trip. Just got back to Minnesota late tonight (Saturday), with at least 3 feet of snow still on the ground. What new restaurants did you discover?

OnWabana,

Doc Ford's was great. We didn't get a chance to try the mahi mahi you recommended, but thoroughly enjoyed the buffalo shrimp and chicken wings, $1.50 draft beers at happy hour, and watching the boats in the marina. Smile

OnWabana,

I'll confirm the recommendation of a couple of the restaurants in the blog you posted.

We ate at Nino's Italian place near Hammond Stadium today before flying out of Ft. Myers. The spaghetti with meat sauce and a chicken breast with spinach etc. were both excellent and prices are surprisingly low. And we love the Mucky Duck on Captiva Island, well worth the drive for the tasty food and beautiful sunsets on the beach right outside the restaurant.
